Hutchison Ports launches SYNERGY, a new brand to develop intermodal services in Southern Europe

Hutchison Ports, the world's leading port network, has unveiled its new SYNERGY brand. Over the years, Hutchison Ports has expanded internationally, also encompassing logistics and transport activities.

The new SYNERGY brand will be responsible for the deployment of intermodal services between Hutchison Ports BEST in Barcelona and the main rail terminals in Spain and Southern Europe, offering a wide range of integrated logistics solutions.

The place chosen for the presentation of the new brand was the International Logistics and Handling Exhibition 2018 (SIL2018), which took place between 5 and 7 June in Barcelona. SYNERGY is born to adapt to the new times, betting on innovation and technology, with transparency and naturalness, always offering the best solution for the needs of its customers.

SYNERGY will offer port-to-port connectivity services, with a strong commitment to the environment and sustainability.

These services will be powered by Hutchison Ports' BEST operations, one of the most efficient container terminals, with a productivity rate of more than 200 moves per hour and an average sustained throughput of more than 40 moves per hour per crane, one of the highest in the world.

The facility has one of the most modern entry/exit gate systems in Europe and one of the largest rail terminals within a maritime terminal in the whole of the Mediterranean, with 8 mixed gauge tracks (Iberian and UIC), connecting BEST daily to different destinations in Spain and the South of France.
